CELEBRATE THE END OF SUMMER WITH US SEPTEMBER 13-15

Date posted: August 14th, 2013

Are you sad at the thought of summer coming to an end? So are we! But here in the Dells we have a tradition where we celebrate the end of summer with a huge festival named Wo-Zha-Wa, which is the Ho-Chunk phrase “to have fun.”

This year’s festival is September 13-15, and will include free family activities, an arts and crafts fair, antique flea market, Maxwell Street Days (Sidewalk sales), live entertainment and a 100-unit parade. There will also be a street carnival with concessions.

Included in the weekend activities will be the 46th Wo-Zha-Wa Run, Wisconsin’s oldest long distance race. It will begin at 8 am sharp on Saturday, September 14. Runners can either endure a challenging half-marathon or run a four-mile course.
