COVID-19 Update

Brighter Days Ahead

As a result of Wisconsin Governor Tony Ever’s Safer At Home executive orders, Wilderness Hotel and Golf Resort (including condos, villas, cabins and retreats), Glacier Canyon Lodge, and Wilderness on the Lake will be extending our temporary closure through April 23 unless otherwise directed.

We will begin the process of canceling and refunding reservations automatically through this new closure date. Please be patient as the Wisconsin Safer at Home order has put a strain on our call center and our ability to do refunds in a mass manner. You will receive a cancellation notice via email, and do not need to call. Please see our cancellation outline below so you know when to expect your refund:

  • Guests with reservations between April 9-16 will be canceled and will be issued a full refund on the original form of payment during the week of March 30. If you don’t see your refund by April 9 please call us at 800.867.9453.
  • Guests with reservations between April 17-23 will be canceled and will be issued a full refund on the original form of payment during the week of April 5. If you don’t see your refund by April 16 please call us at 800.867.9453.

Additional cancellations beyond April 23 may be necessary. If neccessary, we will update any information here as well as our social media pages as it become available.

Rest assured all deposits will be returned and no cancellations fees will charged for those reservations affected by the closure.

If your reservation has not yet been cancelled and you would like to reschedule, please call us at 800.867.9453. We are currently accepting reservations for dates on/after April 24th. We encourage new reservations to be booked online at WildernessResort.com in order to lessen the strain on our call center.

As we all know, this is an unprecedented time that we will get through together. We can’t begin to describe how thankful we are and have always been for the support of the families who visit our properties and our employees. We look forward to re-opening soon so we can start making memories with all of you again and will continue to work with local, state, and federal officials.

After we reopen, we will continue abiding by all local, state, and federal guidelines and will maintain the stringent precautionary measures we’d implemented prior to closing to address coronavirus concerns and to help ensure the health, safety and well-being of everyone visiting our resorts. These measures include, but are not limited to:

  • Strict cleanliness and disinfection procedures. This effort includes frequent deep cleaning of all common areas, waterparks, and attractions throughout our resorts with increased focus on doors, handles, chairs, windows, public restrooms, elevators, luggage carts, key pads, pens, countertops, phones, arcade games, dry play parks and all high traffic areas with medical-grade cleaners and disinfectants. These same cleaners and disinfectants are also used by our housekeeping staff in all guest units with increased focus on handles, faucets, phones, switches, and remotes.
  • Hand washing and sanitizing stations. We’ve added more hand sanitizer locations around our resorts for both guests and employees. In addition, our staff has also been advised on the importance frequent and proper 20 second hand washing throughout the day. We believe that following this simple step alone can decrease the chance of illness and the spreading of disease.
  • Mandated use of gloves by some staff has also been implemented.

Family vacations are meant to be fun-filled and carefree. We are looking forward to brighter days ahead when we can again focus on fun and bringing a lifetime of positive memories to the families we serve.
