So, what does your title mean you do at the Wilderness?
As part of Guest Services Management team, I coordinate guest requests and room assignments, manage inventory and supplies, and train staff on our company policies and procedures. On a typical shift you will find me monitoring phones and e-mails to assist guests with questions before, during and after their stay. My goal is look at routine interactions as a way to make emotional connections which enhance our guest’s experience with our resort by ensuring they have a positive experience with us from the time they make a reservation until they leave our resort.
What is the best part of your job?
The fact that you can create memorable experiences that make our guests feel valued sometimes just turning a negative situation into a positive one through genuine empathy and quick resolution.
How long have you worked at the Wilderness and in what roles?
I’ve worked at the Wilderness for 4 years. I started out as a front desk agent at Glacier Canyon Lodge, where I was promoted as a Front Desk Supervisor. Then I was transferred to New Frontier Lobby and I’ve been developing the same position with more responsibilities and duties that let me grow and expand my knowledge in the hospitality industry.
Favorite wet attraction at the Wilderness?
My favorite wet attraction is The Hurricane at Klondike Waterpark because I’m always seeking heart-pounding excitement.
Favorite dry attraction at the Wilderness?
I’m a big fan of Clip and Climb Challenge Walls. I love adrenaline in my body!
Favorite food venue at Wilderness?
Swimm’n Chicken
Favorite thing to eat at Wilderness?
I love the West Coast Wraps at Swimm’n Chick’n.
Piece of advice for first time guests?
Carrying our Wilderness Express and a map with you all the time will help you to have so much fun!
