Cubby’s Cove Indoor Waterpark to Undergo Renovation

We’re thrilled to announce that Cubby’s Cove Indoor Waterpark at Wilderness on the Lake will be undergoing a major renovation this fall. Due to this, beginning Tuesday, September 3rd, Cubby’s Cove Indoor Waterpark will be closed. However, during the month of September we will be keeping Cubby’s Cove Outdoor Waterpark open daily, weather dependent, to enjoy.

The most significant improvement planned for the indoor waterpark is a new, fun indoor children’s play feature designed by Empex Water Toys. It will include four flumes, a tipping bucket, and 11 additional spray features.

Besides replacing the main play feature, we’re also going to be adding a small toddler slide for littles to zip down, a water table feature, and turtle and beaver spray zone in the pool itself.

Plus, at the request of parents, the play structure area will be modified to add a beach entry so you don’t have to step down into it – we know this will be helpful for families with littles.

The rest of the park will also be receiving some upgrades including new pool deck flooring throughout, new speakers, new fans, new pads/poles/ropes for the beloved lily pad walk, and new supports for the basketball hoops.

Starting in early to mid-October, the plan is to have select features in Cubby’s Cove Indoor Waterpark open on weekends beginning at 4 pm each Friday through 9pm each Sunday. During the week the park will remained closed to allow for continued work on the renovations.

Starting September 3rd through November 21st, 2024, in appreciation of our loyal Lake guests staying with us, we will be offering two complimentary Wild Fun Passes for each 2 Bedroom Lakeside Condo rental and three complimentary Wild Fun Passes for each 3 Bedroom Lakeside Condo rental during times when the park is closed for construction.
