If you replied to our email survey after your stay in 2023 to recognize a Wilderness employee or manager for a job well done, THANK YOU.

Guests’ comments are compiled monthly, and together with our directors’ input, two outstanding employees are honored as employees of the month. Then, on a quarterly basis, the resort also honors the two best employees and two best managers at the resort. Finally, once a year we select the “Manager of the Year” and “Employee of the Year” for having the ultimate “can-do” attitude and for exceeding guest expectations.

The 2023 “Manager of the Year” was Bryan, who has been with our resort since 2016 and serves as Manager on Duty. According to Bryan’s supervisor, “Bryan is dedicated, resilient, and patient with staff and guests. His empathy is unmatched. We are very lucky to have Bryan as a part of our team.”

The 2023 “Employee of the Year” was Cindy, who has been with our resort since March 2022 and currently serves as Housekeeping Administrative Assistant. According to Cindy’s supervisor, “Cindy’s positivity and willingness to help others makes her an excellent choice for Employee of the Year. She is continuously growing in resort knowledge and provides excellent feedback/suggestions to the department. Her primary role is Administrative Assistant, but Cindy steps in whenever needed- employee orientations, housekeeping duties or assisting other departments. Cindy is an excellent ambassador for the resort!”

Each year, we also recognize one outstanding employee and one manager for providing exceptional customer service. Their award is named S.T.A.R.S. (Striving to Achieve Remarkable Service).

Jenna, who joined our resort in 2010 and works as a server at Field’s, was named our “S.T.A.R.S. 2023 Customer Service Employee of the Year.” According to her supervisor, “ Jenna is such an integral part of Field’s daily operations. She does it all for us, and we can depend upon her to go above and beyond in everything she does. Whether for our guests or peers, she is always willing to help to make things perfect. Jenna’s character exemplifies what hospitality is all about.”

The “S.T.A.R.S. 2023 Customer Service Manager of the Year” was Nick, who has been with our resort since 2017 and serves as our Reservations Manager. According to Nick’s supervisor, “Throughout Nick’s career he has exhibited exemplary customer service skills, fantastic leadership and is consistently willing to go above and beyond to ensure both our guests and team members are taken care of. We’re proud of all the hard work and dedication he’s put in and couldn’t be happier to present him with this award.”
