THANKS FOR HELPING US HONOR OUR OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEES!

We’d like to thank all of our valuable guests for submitting comment cards to recognize a Wilderness employee or manager for a job well done. We wanted to share with you how these cards really do make a difference! Results are compiled monthly, and together with our directors’ input, two employees are honored. Then on a quarterly basis, the resort also honors the two best employees and two best managers at the resort. Finally, once a year we select the “Employee of the Year” and “Manager of the Year” for having the ultimate “can-do-it” attitude and for exceeding guest expectations.

The 2017 “Guide of the Year” was Kelly, who has been working as a benefits coordinator with the resort since 2015. According to her supervisors, “Kelly has been a tremendous asset to the HR team! As Benefits Coordinator, she has successfully implemented several new benefit options for 2017 including Flex Spending, Pet Insurance, and another tier to our Dean Health plan. Kelly works hard to stay up-to-date with all things related to employee benefits so that we can offer our employees a competitive benefit package. Kelly is always willing to work whenever is needed to get her job done and done well.”

The resort’s 2017 “Manager of the Year” was Dzevat. He has been with the resort since 2008 and has been serving as our Glacier Canyon Lodge maintenance manager since 2015. According to his director, “Dzevat’s capabilities and quick learning skills afforded him the position of Glacier Canyon Lodge maintenance manager. He has a hard-working demeanor and is always putting the guest concerns first. We appreciate all he has to offer both to the guests and his team.”

Each year, we also recognize one outstanding employee and one manager for providing exceptional customer service. Their award is named S.T.A.R.S. (Striving to Achieve Remarkable Service).

The 2017 “S.T.A.R.S. Customer Service Employee of the Year” was Jose.  He serves as our Glacier Canyon Lodge housekeeping supervisor and according to his director, “Jose is a very important part of why the housekeeping department works so well at Glacier Canyon Lodge. Every day he comes in with a smile and tells everyone, ‘hello.’ Throughout the day you can also hear him singing. Jose has a very positive attitude, and will always put the company first. Over the past few years Jose has learned so much in how to become a good positive supervisor. We value him greatly!”

Brad was named the resort’s 2017 “S.T.A.R.S. Customer Service Manager of the Year”.  He has been serving as information systems assistant manager since 2006.  According to his director, “Brad strives to make sure that every guest and employee has no IT issues. If there are problems, Brad uses his technical expertise to solve the issues.  Brad has worked on several large projects and excels at making sure that the job is done right and stays on target. He works on some of the most important systems throughout the resort, not limited to, but including, TVs, audio, phone systems, servers, and the Micros POS System. We value him greatly.”

We’d like to congratulate all of these fantastic employees and also thank each of them for a job well done!
