A Foodies Guide to Wilderness Resort

Is your family a bunch of foodies? If so, these are the must try items to check out during your next visit to Wilderness Resort.

Fields at the Wilderness – Our steakhouse is known for its remarkable cuts of beef, particularly its dry-aged New York Strip or fork tender nightly Prime Rib. We suggest starting the meal with a Wilderness Salad or bowl of House made Lobster Bisque and wrapping it up with their famous Butter Brickle Crunch Torte.

Sarento’s – Located just a short shuttle ride down the road from our Resort, Sarento’s features a contemporary menu, Italian classics, and modern nightly specials. From house made Lasagna and Meatballs, to freshly made and tossed Pizzas, their near scratch kitchen uses only the freshest of local ingredients. We highly recommend treating yourself to a hand crafted after dinner drink and a toasted Tuscan Crème Brulee at their unique wraparound bar.

Daily Dough – Located in Camp Social Food Hall, Daily Dough serves up the best Detroit-style pizza with a thick, buttery crust, your choice of fresh toppings and fresh Wisconsin-made mozzarella cheese, with the sauce on top! Mama Mia – this pizza is delicious! But hurry, because when their made fresh dough is gone, you’ll have to wait ‘til tomorrow to try this fan favorite!

Mama Tiger Korean BBQ – Also located in Camp Social Food Hall, this pop-up food truck features incredibly delicious rice bowls and street tacos. Two meals you don’t want to miss are the Banh Mi Chicken Tacos, with grilled chicken thighs, pickled vegetable slaw, cilantro, fresh jalapeños, and sriracha mayo, and the Bulgogi Beef Bowl, with seasoned beef sirloin, jasmine rice, pickled onion, cucumber, and scallions!

The Burger Bar –You may be able to smell the fresh Angus patties hit the char grill while you check in, as this open concept is located just above the main lobby in the Camp Social Food Hall. For a treat to share, the Jumbo Pretzel with warm cheese and grain mustard is sure to do the trick. Otherwise, The Burger Bar’s signature Burger Bar-BQ topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, onion tanglers and BBQ sauce is worth adding to your “must try list.” Both taste great when paired with a Wisconsin Old Fashioned.

Survivor’s – Overlooking our Wild WaterDome, Survivors is a great place to watch the big game with some amazing apps. We suggest the Loaded Volcano Nachos or Pizza Sticks, made from fresh dough. For lighter fare, the Chopped Steak House Salad or Margarita Chicken Grain Bowl are must tries. Or if you’re looking for a great handheld option, the Big Monty Burger or Boom Boom Shrimp Wrap will make sure to spice up your life!

Swimm’n Chick’n – Located above The Wild West Waterpark, Swimm’n Chick’n is more than just comfort food. There’s something timeless about our hand crafted, crispy chicken tenders. Served hot and crunchy, these tenders become a canvas for a lineup of bold, elevated sauces that take each bite on a different flavor journey.  Our favorite dippin’ sauces are “OG”, Memphis Sweet and Korean BBQ. Plus, don’t forget to order Wisconsin’s very own Deep Fried White Cheddar Cheese Curds served with ranch dressing as a side.

Klondike Pizza Kitchen located above the Klondike Kavern Waterpark, the Klondike Pizza Kitchen has the best signature pizza ever – the Wisconsin Golden Nugget! It features fresh Wisconsin cheese curds, sliced bratwurst, onions and a smattering of sauerkraut on top. Shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese and a creamy mustard garlic sauce make this pizza truly a Wisconsin flavor treasure.

The best part is you can enjoy it anywhere!Whether you’re lounging poolside, relaxing in your room, or gathering with friends by the fire pit, you can have this gem of a pizza delivered right to you!

Molly’s Shake Shoppe – Located in the Wild WaterDome, these aren’t just your ordinary shakes, these are experiences! Our two favorites include: Wake ‘N Shake made with Maple Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal shake with whipped cream, gummy fried eggs, bacon lollipop, and a waffle topped with maple syrup; and the Cookie Monster made with Vanilla shake with whipped cream, Oreo crumbles, Cookie Crisp cereal, cookie dough bites, and a pirouette cookie.

Candy Cabin – Our expert candy makers and chocolatiers make the best homemade treats. If there’s one treat you simply must try it’s their Sea Salt Caramels. These little bites of heaven start with rich, homemade caramel—soft, buttery, and perfectly chewy. Each piece is hand-cut, then dipped in your choice of silky milk chocolate or bold dark chocolate, and finished with a sprinkle of sea salt for that irresistible sweet-and-salty balance. We’re pretty confident you’ll agree they are a must-have indulgence!

Another Candy Cabin favorite are their Turtles, crafted for nut lovers everywhere. Foodies can choose between crunchy pecans or cashews as the base, layered with homemade caramel. Finally, each cluster is coated with smooth milk chocolate or decadent dark chocolate. Packed with texture and flavor, these nutty, caramel-filled delights are a timeless treat you’ll want to savor again and again.

Bear Paw Funnel Cakes – Who doesn’t love funnel cakes, and at Bear Paw Funnel Cakes this well-known fair treat is taken to a whole new level! We recommend our Saddle Bum Strawberry Cheesecake Funnel Cake topped with vanilla ice cream smothered in strawberries and cheesecake bites and finished with whipped cream; or, for chocolate lovers, the Rocky Mountain Madness Funnel Cake topped with Oreo crumbles, cookie crisp and cookie dough bites piled high on a mountain of ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and whipped cream.
