Christmas is one of our favorite times of year. The resort is festively decorated inside and out, and we have all sort of fun holiday events. Plan now to be part of our celebration!
Visits with Santa!
We’re happy to announce that Santa will be posing for pictures and talking with children in the lobby area in front of WildKids Room from 9-11 a.m. on December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 23rd and 24th.
WildKids Activities
Come check out our new WildKids Room on the main level of the Take Flight building! In it our WildKids’ team, and one of Santa’s elves, will be decorating Christmas cookies with children on Saturdays (December 4th, 11th and 18st) from 1-2 p.m. They will also have holiday themed movies playing continuously and various foam Christmas themed craft projects to get creative with.
Christmas themed Bingo will occur daily at 4:30 pm in Camp Social.
Surprise Holiday Packages
You can also order in advance holiday themed packages that can be placed in guest’s room as a surprise. More details on this will be added on this as details become available.
New this year, we will be hosting a Santa’s workshop in front of the Wild Kids Room where guests can meet Santa’s elves and pick up special holiday packages for their rooms. Check back for more details soon.
THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Journey to the North Pole
We’re so excited! Just in time for the holiday season, our Take Flight theater with its enormous 65 foot by 45 foot screen will be showing THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Journey to the North Pole.
The film, tentatively set to show November 19-January 17, is a state-of-the-art ride experience based on version movie classic about a doubting young boy who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole. He embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.
If you enjoyed seeing Polar Express™ last year at Take Flight, you’ll want to come back and check out the new longer extended cut version complete with scenes and an even better, more thrilling, motion seat experience!
After the film, your family can stop by Candy Cabin where they will have memorable holiday treats, including special edition hand-dipped “Golden Ticket” Believe Chocolate Bars. Inside, the wrapper of every Believe Chocolate Bar includes a prize. We are giving away over 1 MILLION arcade tickets redeemable at any of our Mega Arcades. Some lucky winners may receive a $100 arcade gift card, and one GRAND PRIZE (1:5000) winner will receive a $250 Wilderness Gift Card. Each Chocolate Bar is a winner!
The Burger Bar will also be serving up their Polar Express-o’s made with a shot of locally roasted Espresso with white chocolate and peppermint syrup blended in vanilla ice cream served with whipped cream, candy cane, and snowflake sprinkles. An adult version of the drink can be made with peppermint vodka and a light crème de cacao. And, Klondike Pizza Kitchen will have an “All Aboard for the Polar Express Pizza Package,” which includes: a large 1-topping pizza; an order of breadsticks; a 2-liter bottle of soda and a special Polar Express desert package that includes six candy canes and six Christmas sugar cookies.
Camp Social Holiday Fireside Buffet
Enjoy our ALL YOU CAN EAT buffet at Camp Social on Christmas Day from 4-9 pm. It will include: Chef Carved Honey Glazed Ham; Roast Beef with mushroom and onion au jus; Oven Roasted Turkey; Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes and Turkey Gravy; Herbed Cornbread Stuffing; Tri-Colored Tortellini with Alfredo sauce; Haricot Vert Almondine; Brown Butter Honey Parisian Carrots; Sweet Buttered Bi-color Corn; Brandied Cranberry Sauce; Cranberry Fluff; Classic Garden Salad with choice of dressing; Holiday Apple Salad; and Dinner Rolls.
For littles we will have Chicken Nuggets with Ranch or BBQ sauce; French Fries; Macaroni & Cheese and Jell-o Cubes.
For dessert there will be Gingerbread and Sugar Cookies, Lemon Bars and Peppermint Brownies as well as other assorted desserts.
